Still Saying Sorry is the long-awaited autobiography of former Scotland captain Don Masson.
Don Masson shouldered the weight of a nation’s expectations. He was the toast of Scotland in 1978 when his penalty clinched a World Cup place in Argentina but missing from the spot against Peru sentenced him to spend the rest of his life apologising.
Still Saying Sorry is the story of not just a perfectionist, driven by a fierce desire to make the best of his talents, but also a man who overcame personal demons to work his way up from the land of no-hopers.
He became the first man to captain the same club from the Fourth Division to the First with Notts County. At 28 he joined Queens Park Rangers alongside the likes of Stan Bowles and Gerry Francis and starred in their best-ever season in 1975-76.
